Mike has a powerful teaching and deliverance ministry. He is an internationally recognised teacher of the word, who moves strongly in the prophetic, deliverance and inner healing gifts. Mike brings clear training along with fresh encounters and demonstrations of the Holy Spirit. He is effective at bringing God's power, presence and healing for personal breakthroughs to people around the world.
Mike brings a revelation of the Father Heart of God that sets people free from an orphan mindset and from struggles with rejection and abandonment. His strong love and sensitivity for God and His people have enabled him to minister and bring great healing to the broken hearted and oppressed, and equip them for an overcoming life. His passion for healing the broken hearted and deliverance is accompanied by a passion to equip people to become strong in spirit and in faith and to apply Kingdom principles to their life and relationships.
Mike has a heart for people and is able to bring a wonderful balance of humour, compassion and truth to his teaching messages. Mike's anointed messages have affected the hearts of people worldwide and have equipped and empowered them to advance the Kingdom. Over the years, Mike and Joy have seen many thousands of people trained and equipped to move in the Spirit and minister healing and deliverance, and multitudes of people healed and set free of bondage's.
Mike and Joy have seven children and are also very proud grandparents of twenty four grandchildren. They have a powerful personal testimony of their adopted first born found here. They both believe in strong family values and continuing to invest in the next generation. This is obvious when you meet them. Mike and Joy travel and minister together, and have a heart for the welfare of pastors and leaders and their families. Joy carries an amazing ability to connect with people and a passion to minister healing and freedom.
Mike was ordained by Apostle Clark Taylor of Australia as Pastor and Leader of Christian Outreach Centre in NZ in 1989. More recently he was ordained by Apostle Guillermo Maldonado from Miami, Florida, and is part of the with King Jesus Ministries Network. He functions as an Apostle and teacher, ministering globally, and also as Apostolic Oversight for Ascend Global Church, Hastings which is now led by his eldest son David and duaghter-in-law Kate Connell, and where he and Joy are based.
